Home Recording..February in South Scotland is not noted for its pleasant weather. Today we have sleet and wet snow driven along by freezing winds. A quick trip out for milk has been my only exercise.
But I have spent some time working on one of Jim Gilbert’s songs – trying to fit an electric guitar track to a vocal and acoustic guitar. Rather pleased with the result – hope Jim likes it! These digital home recording units are wonderful – hours of fun but also a reminder of “crap in, crap out” – music [unless you are one of these sad people who think electronic pitch correctors sound good] always comes down to the performance at the end of the day.
So, some good telecaster practice and a few more things learned about the Korg. [RTFM!]
One less day on the Annan though! Here’s to milder, dry weather, the snowdrops and crocusses in our pots outside are just waiting to leap into action.
